Wow, that is pretty cool! If it connects people to the mobile web though isn't that going to cost the consumer money just to view advertising content? Or is it free to download content (i.e. the advertiser covers the cost?)? Because I think that would turn me off using it because it would just increase my bill and it really doesn't need any help to do that....

it does not connect through the web, it is scanned by mobile phones with the correct software, which is in most new phones!
